The year 2022 had been a particularly difficult one for me. I went through a lot of emotional and spiritual struggles. The devil had bombarded me over and over and by the time Retreat came around I was in desperate need of the Word and good fellowship. I went to Retreat holding several requests in my heart.

The first was that God would let me make some good, godly friendships that would last and be a source of spiritual strength and encouragement. This year I met and spent time with some of the best people I’ve ever encountered, and I have no doubt these friendships will be a lasting source of God’s love and kindness to me.

I’d also reached a point in my life where I was at a crossroad. I needed to make some very big decisions and I had no idea how to proceed. Throughout the whole week at Retreat, every sermon and every teaching and counseling session cleared out my uncertainties and God showed me exactly what to do and how to proceed.

He also answered other things I’ve been praying about for a long time that I did not expect would be answered at this Retreat, but God is so good and He gives us our answers exactly when we need them.

On the way home I was involved in an accident that should have been worse than it was, but God protected me. It was just vindication to me that I had completely overturned Satan’s plans for my life and he wasn’t happy about it. But he came too late because I already got my victory.

I thought retreat was amazing in every way possible! I felt like I learned so much about my spiritual growth through this past weekend!

A lot of youth camps put their center focus on getting the Holy Ghost, WYR put a center focus on the growth that comes after! If you’re ever thinking about going, or maybe you’re unsure… go!

It’s worth every inch of it! I loved how much togetherness there was throughout the youth, how many welcoming smiles you’d see at every table, how much laughter you’d hear throughout the lobby, how many hands raised during the worship, how many voices lifted up throughout the service!

The ministry has all of my respect for letting God use them, and having such a heart for the young people!

A special thank you to the Coffey’s and the LaFontaine’s for all of the hard work that was put into it! You really have no clue how much WYR 2022 impacted me this year!!!

Attendend 2022

I had been praying before WYR for like a month before. I needed clarity on a lot of things and some direction. I was sick of feeling confused and troubled over some things.

I needed God to reveal Himself to me more, which He most definitely did. Every single service, or topic they touched on, was exactly what I needed to hear, and my questions were answered and I left there refreshed and with victory.

Just worshipping Him in the services with everyone in itself was so refreshing and the perfect atmosphere. No one could leave WYR the same way. It was such a blessing attending WYR and I will definitely be coming back next year.
